Projects and Activities

Projects taken up so far are

The first project taken up was the old age home at rajban and distributed blankets.
Extended support to kids at Vani (deaf and mute) for a while.
Donated a tricycle and wheel chair chair to a poor disabled.
Organised a camp for hearing impaired and donated 20 hearing aids.
Provided callipers to a 4 year old girl with deformed bones.
Distributed shoes,socks, sweaters to needy children and elders at Prem Niwas, Jyoti Niwas and Naye Asha.
Provided supplies and medicines for flood affected and earthquake victims in Kashmir and Nepal respectively.
Supported government school in sikheda by providing children with shoes, books , stationery and uniform.
Installed monkey bars in Sikheda school and Naye Asha(Daurala).
Regular visit to Naye Asha -a school cum boarding school for kids whose parents have leprosy are living poorly. Educating them about hygiene, donating books, games,stationary, socks, now supplying medicines on a continuous basis.
Contributed Rs.5000 towards construction cost at Satyakam.
Donated electric heaters, board games. grocery and medical aid to Blind School at Jagriti Vihar.
All children suffering from scabies were successfully treated.
Paid for medical treatment of Anita, a Cancer patient who unfortunately did not survive.
Distributed 1600 packets of Rewari and peanuts.
Sponsoring education of 9 poor girls under the Modi campaign of "Beti Bachao Beti Parhao" at a private school.
Donated Rs. 1 lakh towards Army Welfare Fund for Battle Casualities.
Giving regular medical support to the old and destitute woman at Dadi Niwas, Ganga nagar.
Providing food for Rs 5 to the needy on a regular basis, under our project Sabki Rasoi
Helping school for the slum area people, Nayi Disheyain

These are the projects undertaken by Care 'n' Share. And we hope to continue to extend our support to the needy.

Sabki Rasoi

Near Bachaa park, a kitchen was established where poor people will get nutritious and scrumptious food for Rs. 5. This was a brainchild of Dr. Suri with the help of other members of Meerut based NGO Care n Share. This is the first group in meerut to take the initiative. On the first day of the project 150 people were fed and within a weak 350 people have started filling their stomachs. the idea is to feed poor and needy. The food is also made in very hygenic condition and students are also taking advantage of this project.. There are always helpers and cook around to serve people. Affluent people also pour in help by providing beverages and sweets on special occasions. The motto is to not let anyone sleep hungry in Meerut. You can also take advantage of this.

Nayi Disheyain

A school was setup in the slum area- Tej Garhi for the underprivileged children and adults. We have tied up with a teacher who comes everyday for 2 hours for teaching them. There are total 22 students who come for the classes. This was started last month.

Visit to Dadi Niwas on 14th July

Yesterday, we visited Dadi Niwas and distributed packets of namkeen, fruits and mala. Along with this medicines were also distributed according to their needs. We also interacted with them. Dadi Niwas is a non-government organization where the old women are accommodated who have been thrown out of their own home by their children or have lost their way and some are even here by their own choice.
